It's just me folks, your friendly neighborhood Christian Police Chaplian.
I am an active officer with the department as the Community Service Officer
and also their Court Liason. The department gave me the nickname of "PPP"
when I started here 7 years ago. PPP = Pistol Packin Parson. I also
pastor a local Riceville church called
River of Life Mission
Church (Missionary Baptist) and run an internet ministry called
PCIM (the Parsons
Corner.) I address the spiritual and computer programming needs of the
department as well. God bless you is my prayer.

I am a Corporal at the Calhoun Police Department. I am also the Drug
Interdiction & K-9 officer. I really enjoy law enforcement.
I have been in it now for about 4 years. I work highway interdiction
and have been to the NCEA National Interdiction Enforcement Training School.
I am also over the reserves at our department. In my spare time I like to
fish and hang out with my friends and family. We have a really great
department with great officers and we all do our part to keep the community
safe and drug free.

I'm Chris Coleman, a Reserve Officer for the City of Calhoun. After
several years working in 911 communications, I moved to working in the
corrections system as a jailer. About 3 years after serving my time behind
bars, I attended the North Georgia Law Enforcement Academy where I graduated
second in my class. From there I spent several years on the road. My primary
objective was that of a Uniformed Narcotics Intervention Officer in the housing
projects. I held multiple certifications including Defensive Tactics, where
I was taught various forms of hand to hand combat and take down procedures.
EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operation and Control) where I was taught threshold
braking, high speed corner control, skid pan, where I was taught to control
a vehicle under slippery road conditions, High speed off level vehicle operation,
High speed pursuit resolution, and the "PIT" maneuver. ASP Baton, as a medium
use of force tool to disable an attacker. I was certified in the use of the
intoxilyzer 5000 and Doppler speed radar. I also held a Full Terminal Operator
and Basic Jailer certifications in addition to my Peace Officer Certification.
When I ended my career as a Police Officer in Georgia, I had logged over
100 Felony & misdemeanor drug arrest, DUI arrest, as well as many misc.
traffic arrest. I am proud to be a part of the professional team here in
the City of Calhoun, and look forward to working with the citizens of this
fine city in order to keep crime at a minimum. I support our zero tolerance
policy on illegal drugs, and will do my part to ensure the children who live
in or visit our city are not subjected to these illegal drugs.
